As Trikey says Marc, just temporarily swap it for the heated rear window relay (same fusebox, top RHS). I doubt that it will be faulty so no point in spending money unless you've proved it.

Yes that's the one but it's not a transformer or a resistor. MG Rover's term is a "power transistor" but it's more complicated than that! It will probably contain an IC and other components since it works in conjunction with the ATC ECU.

Thanks guys for your help. I tried swapping the relays just to see if that was the problem, sadly it didn't work.
So, looks like a replacement blower motor, which I ordered of a trader here, so will be putting that in.

Just one final question, is there a how to? (A detailed thread, hopefully with pictures in the replacement of the
Blower motor)

Many thanks,

Marc

Well I've looked through the 'how to' section and there doesn't seem to be a technical guide in the replacement of the fan motor, so looks like I'll have to dig out my Haynes manual and give it a go from there. Is there any pointers, advice that anyone could give me that could help in doing this job? Mine is an auto, apparently that makes it a little less complicated:shrug

Kind regards,

Marc
