Sell it and buy a 190.....there's a lot of little differences.....

ECU
Cams
Exhaust
Brakes

and I think suspension was modified as well

190's are so cheap now, it's hardly worth the effort

Think it would be easier to tune up the 160 rather than change all the parts.

Get a "standard" V6 tune in there and you'll get the VIS motors working and you'll have a 177ps engine back.

Once you've modified it to be a 190, and you find out how much your insurer is gonna put your premiums up you'll wish you'd just bought a 190 from the start.

The VIS motors work on ALL V6 models. Its the 150/160/177/190 map that controls their efficiency.

If you can find a willing T4 owner whos able to get the car to accept ZCS codes, and get Xpart to recalculate the codes for the car to be a Rover 75 180 (177bhp) manual you can do that.

But you must change the exhaust rear box as the 160 box is very different to the 177 box and also remove the "trumpet" inside the air box.

Even if you dont do the change of map (not a remap, but a whole change of thecars ECU pro grammes), you will find that makes a difference in rev pickup on the car as it solves the "strangling" issue at the front of the engine.
