Default Driver's Seat Stuck!

Evening all,

In Aldi's car park tonight I settled back into the Rover, thought to myself "what a fine place to dine", removed my cous cous from my bag and went to adjust the (electric) seat to get a better position.

Well to start with I inadvertently moved the seat forwards. I then went to move it back the way and found the switch doing nothing for me. The switch is able to move the seat up and down but not forwards/backwards.

Realising I was stuck in what some might describe as a "granny" driving position, I did my best to look at the wires under the seat. I couldn't see any connections loose. I checked the fuses for both seats and both were fine as I suspected they would be as the diagram showed it is one fuse per seat for movement and I do have some movement.

Luckily I am not the tallest man in the world so managed to drive home slightly uncomfortably.

Has anyone come across his before? I don't have memory seats. Just the two switches.

Thanks,
Andrew
