RY53 UUV - Anyone know this car?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover75-T...83e9%7Ciid%3A1
Possibly a little bit more expensive than it ought to be but I would be interested to hear peoples thoughts, particularly if anyone knows it. Seems to be well specced. Thanks |

I wish they would orientate the photos properly! Gave me a headache stretching my neck so much!

Low res photos too so you can't tell much from them.

If it's as nice as it looks, I can't really see why it's too expensive ??
What else can you get for that money with such low mileage (10 yr old Fiesta, Astra or Golf maybe ?), it's a lovely colour and great spec As I've said before, you'll pay that for a half decent mountain bike nowadays

Yep! They were done in 2013 so due now basically. I realise it is a lot of car for 2450 however CAP for the car is around the £1500 mark with that mileage. I would be happy to be somewhere in the middle of that to have some cash for belts, a good service and possible a detail on the bodywork. |

CAP becomes irrelevant at this age of car unless you are a S/H car dealer and looking to shift cars like boxed goods. Condition and desirability of colour etc. can easily lead to a +/- 100% variation on prices.
There is only one way to value a car - see it, drive it, decide whether you want it. The rest is just noise IMO. |

Thanks for the advice. I do agree that CAP becomes slightly less relevant as cars age as condition can vary such a lot. That said, as someone that isn't an expert on the 75 and doesn't buy cars week in week out I need a jumping off point to value a car. I am happy to check a car over but I still need a ballpark of market value personally. |

Not wishing to nitpick, but equally, wishing to be accurate, you were offering a valuation for the car in a somewhat polite manner.
