rev counter
No rev counter does not move ,but surely no cranking means no revs ?

unknown fault code
Should also say i put delphi diagnostics on today various historic codes to do with low battery wipers ect,all cleared except 1 which was (152016 unknown fault code) which i believe is just a software glitch of no value?

Hi Graham,
Thank you for stressing this which I would say needs investigating first. To begin with, which wire are you talking about, the large diameter red cable directly from the battery positive terminal or the white/red wire to the starter solenoid? Simon

Thanks Graham. The immobiliser is inhibiting starter motor operation. It will also prevent fuelling which explains why, when you by-passed the immobiliser, the engine ran for only 2 seconds.
The next stage is to determine the reason. Simon
