What about THESE? - or something similar.

They are cheap (though they come from China), and perhaps will give you an idea before spending or modifying 'proper' ones?

If you do decide to fit them front and rear, make sure the fronts are tight and cannot move. Any grit or dirt behind will rub through the paint, remove any benefit of the galvanisation, then rust will start. My car was fitted with them, I am guessing from new, and whilst they have marked the paint, the car has always been kept clean. Ever since I tightened them up, they dont seem to have marked any further.

Whilst the rear bumper is plastic, the body shell which supports the flaps is not, and again, making sure these are tight to stop the grime getting behind the inner guard and bumper. When I took the bumper and flaps off, I found a mass of mud sitting on the bracket, which caused the screw to corrode and seize in the plastic nut.
