YAC112372 won't support rear parking sensors. You will need the separate sounder or change the cluster for one with part number beginning with YAC003xxx, YAC004xxx or YAC005xxx.

marinabrian may be able to help if you get in touch with him, as I think I've seen a post before where he was able to get a earlier part number cluster to support rear parking sensors.

YAC112372 is not one of the 30 YAC numbers I've got - so that means there are at least 31 different 75/ZT numbers.

The one on my car is YAC112352, built April 2001 - it's got a message centre, amber lighting, MPH dial. Mine uses the parking sensor sounder under the LH side of the rear parcel shelf. Connector is black with 2 wires - Green/Brown and Green/(what looks like)Red.

Your YAC number is so close to mine that (knowing MGR's system) there must be a link.

Your IPK does not support PDC KMB sounder I'm afraid, it is too old

And the PDC error is due to the absence of the speaker, I'm assuming you are using the retrofit black ECU?

Thanks, Its good to know that my IPK doesn't support PDC.
I did buy the a parcel shelf speaker but I can't find the connector under the parcel shelf. Is it usually well hidden? Its also strange that when I connect the ecu and sensors I get beeps from the IPK. I haven't replaced the shelf or seats yet so I'll go and have another look. Thanks for everyone's help. MikeH.
Yes. I'm using the black ecu.

If you are using the black ECU with the correct loom, then the speaker outputs are pin 2 red with a light green tracer and pin 8 light green with a red tracer.

Pin 2 is connected to the speaker +VE and pin 8 to speaker -VE

So you can test the speaker first to make sure all is well with your setup, and then mount it wherever you find it easiest.........if you wanted there is a mounting position near to the diagnostic socket in the drivers footwell where the speaker for smartnav would be normally mounted.

Open the boot and take the carpet & board out. Also take the LH side trim off. There'll be a bunch of wires running back from the rear seat area on the left (nearside) - two of them are the sounder wires I mentioned earlier (at least that's what it's like on my car). If you don't have a sounder, the black connector could be doubled back and taped to the rest of the wires.

Ok, removed all sound insulation from rear shelf and deffo no sounder connector. There is only a 3 pin one which reads amps/bmw.
I'll go back and have a look in nearside boot as per Blink.

Not in the LH boot area either. Where can the beeping noise from the front of the car be coming from when I put in it reverse?
