Default P0501 & p1590

Chasing down two codes on my 1.8 auto and need a little help!

P0501 - vehicle speed sensor range/performance. Guessing this relates to one of the ABS sensors, but I don't have an ABS warning light on?

P1590 - can't find any information on this....so any knowledge is appreciated!

Thanks John. From what I can tell on the internet, P1590 is not a universally defined code, and is down to individual manufacturers to decide what it means.

Have seen MGF forums saying it's the "rough ride sensor", and Land Rover forums suggesting ABS voltage related, and Freelander forums suggesting "TPS voltage mismatch".

RAVE confirms your description and I would interpret "range/performance" as meaning that a signal is present but it is considered incorrect; logical but maybe not the right answer!

This code isn't listed at all in RAVE.

Third party code readers can mislead. I'd recommend getting T4 onto it.

I'm fairly confident P1590 is a genuine code, as I'm using a pscan tool which is only designed for Rover/MG...

Just realised that it can do the ABS module so that should be easy to narrow down (now why didn't I think of that yesterday?!).
