Default Flood Alarms???

Would I be correct in thinking that the CAN BUS wires/plugs could be responsible for ABS/Traction Control/Hand brake warning light and speedo (or lack of) be put down to todays horrendous weather?

Travelling through Devon earlier it was flood after flood.

I had traction control issues a couple or years ago and found a dodgey plug on the ABS pump. It is in a silly place on the lower bulkhead!

Been thinking about this ... All the warning lights came on at the same time. The wipers, at normal speed, went into intermittent mode (as they do when stationary) several times and could only be run normally again after switching to fast speed and back or off and back.

The speedo was dead but occasionally came to life (Albeit at varying speeds - sometimes slower than road speed other times showing 70mph ish at 30 - according to satnav) and with the speedo operating the wipers operated normally.

The hand brake light was on most of the time so too was the ABS and Traction Control. When stationary the handbrake light at start up was out.

The warning message 'Brake Fault' came up at starting.

Would this be down to a speed sensor somewhere? if so any ideas where I might start looking?
Any help would be gratefully received, thank you ...
