I am just North of Blandford, although the car is off the road at present with ABS/Traction problems. Also Dorset Bob is nearby.
Welcome to the club, the chaps here and all over, are brilliant!

Great to see there's quite a few members nearby & looking forward to meeting up!
Unfortunately I've had a bit of bad luck with my car, the auxiliary belt snapped just as I was pulling into my wife's work I'm thinking of asking South Coast MG Rover to fix it next week, as anyone got any views / experience of them at all? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi 75Tom,
Welcome to the Club, I live and have my family business located in Bournemouth. I own 7 R75 mainly rare and converted types. South Coast look after 4 of them you may see one still there ( now over 6 months ) waiting for part to be manufactured. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi 75 Tom Fine. Glad you have got it done. It's not a cheap job. Who did it for you ? Was it a local garage ? There are not many locally who I would trust with my car, because a lot of them say they know 'Rovers' but in truth they don't, and it can cause problems. If you have found a good garage for Rover/MG we would like to know. Cheers trimani (ALF) |

Hi
I've got my blue ZTT in at South Coast MG at the moment having cam belts, water pump, radiator, thermostat, auxiliary belt and other bits also.Going to end up costing over £2k. I hope they do a good job as the bill is more than the value of the car! |

Ha yes I did see your hearse - what an usual 75! What's keeping it off the road? My wife made the unwelcome comment that if my Rover 75 'died' we could borrow the hearse as a funeral car! |

I got South Coast to do it for me. It's the first time I've used them - the workshop seemed pretty busy, and the guy seemed pretty knowledgeable. The car is running well again, which is great. A couple of question marks though: 1 they used an Oscaro crank pulley, not an OEM one. Anyone have any views as to longevity? Can't see them mentioned on the forum. Second question mark is over the handbrake adjustment they did, which hasn't really improved the efficiency - still takes six clicks. They say the shoes are worn but I wonder actually if it might be a stretched compensator... Will be happy to use them again though for MOT and service later this year. |
