I too have used POR15, great stuff even better if used with their primers.
Used it first an my old classic 80's 32' Airstream Motorhome on the under trays that get all the road dirt and spray. They survived 12 years of UK weather dirt and ice, the metal just goes on and shines after a wipe! Sadly no longer with me.

That assumes that the arms will still be available in 10 years time

More on that shortly, but I wouldn't panic. Also, for anyone concerned with longevity - we offer a 5 year warranty on these arms with no quibble (vs 1 year elsewhere); they come in around £114 per side with the FORUM5 discount code used. Your own coatings / protection etc won't affect this either. https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/r75...e8a3fd73&_ss=r

Regardless of the quality (or lack therein) of the paint on the Indian arms, there are various other factors at play that would prevent me from ever fitting these components out of the box.
It has been covered on countless occasions, but they simply are poor quality end of story. However if they are the only option to be fitted, have them sandblasted and paint them inside and out with a quality zinc based anti rust paint, followed by the outer coat of your preferred wet paint system, not powder coat, and finally before fitting, a coating of cavity wax. I've seen these red rusty after less than two years fitted to the car, and compared to the original arms, they're fairly poor in all respects. Brian |

Any particular zinc based anti rust paint you'd recommend? |

I just waxoyled inside and out. I certainly agree they are rubbish quality and I am willing to bet they would not pass the original endurance tests.
