had to go to the vets yesterday as hugo hurt his leg.
Couldn't sit or lay down and if you touched his back leg he was howling.

Quite worrying so rushed him to the vets who were brilliant, xrays pain killers, lots of love and care.
Luckily it's just a muscle strain so complete house arrest for a few days , I'm glad I'm working all weekend.
On a more worrying note , during the exam they picked up a heart murmur so that's going to be looked at next week , although they said it is possible it was caused by the leg injury.

Will be 1 year old in January and my weight is now 41.2 kg

He's lovely.

Our lab/retriever cross, Quizzie, got pancreatitis a few weeks ago. Shaking, obviously in pain, almost couldn't walk etc. Some vet care and she bounced back really quickly. Hope Hugo does the same from his leg problem.

We know a retriever that was withdrawn from being a Guide Dogs stud dog because of a heart murmur. He's absolutely fine and enjoying life to the full. Just needs to have a bit of an eye kept on him for the amount of energetic exercise he gets up to.

Hope that helps.

Andy.
