Broken wheel bolt
So the wheel bolt has been broken in my car from when i got it, its been sheared at the hub flange and had an 8/10mm hole drilled in it see the pics.
Any ideas on removal, there's nothing for irwins to grip on to. My thoughts were a tedious few sessions with a junior hacksaw to put a slot in it and see if that took the tension off. Thanks Scott |

Looking at the damage, if the thread has been mullered by drilling as I well I would probably just stick another hub on it - far less aggro than trying to get the remains of the bolt out.
A broken thread in a through hole should come out anyway, so suggests it's either rusted in there or more likely cross threaded, in which case the thread is probably still mullered. |

Drill it out until you get as close as possible to the threads in the hub, there’s a good chance the heat from drilling will aid removal.
Put an eeze out in the hole and see if you get lucky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks guys will get some big drill bits and give that a go nothing to lose as.
Changing the hub flange is a big job strut off and press to get it off? New hub might be easier. Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk |

Strut doesn't have to come off (if you are lucky with the pinch bolt)
Get a new flange and bearing, drop the lot off at a garage for them to push in. If they are careful you shouldn't need a new abs sensor. Stan

I'd be tempted to change the flange - if it's a front, they're quite cheap at the moment: https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/75-...nuine-mg-rover
You will need a press to change it, though.
