I see you listed police cars, in the last few years they did a really cool classic mini police car with flashing light on top.one of my favourites has to be the mk1 lotus cortinas in jim clark livery. As I'm a metro lover I have the old original 6r4 and a few years back they did a set with a brand new tooled 6r4 and t16. They are nice cars but weren't cheap.

Ok, favourite Scalextric cars
MK1 Escort
Cortina
Rovers
Police Cars
Lorries
Porsche GT3R
Sierra Cosworth
Porsche 935
Motorbikes
BMW M3
AUDI QUATTRO old style
BMW 3.0CSL
SUBARU IMPREZA

some nice Vauxhall Vectra's, one or two Capri's and TR7's.

One Sunday when I was swimming with the cubs my dad got be a huge amount of second hand scalextric, I was over joyed and another time we went by train to Margate to a shop and I got a few 1960's cars. I could not have been that old 8 - 12 perhaps.

One of the police cars they did was a Rover with a siren. Not very realistic but it was a feature.

I even have the 45 record of racing sounds, never played it but I got it at a car boot sale some years ago.

It was Scalextric that got me into visual Basic programming. This was way above my competence when I started but ended up doing some ad hoc programs for work. Turned one of my roles into what seemed like the Carlsberg advert, no one rang. The day I ran the program the phone stopped ringing, no more problems. Visual Basic is now dead I think
