Close enough :¬)
Drop links.
I previously fitted Delphi jobs back in July 2019 and I'm a bit hacked off as the offside upper link lasted just 6k. The roads around me are pretty poor and my shared drive is also rubbish but none of my wife's, neighbours or my previous 75s have had any bother so think they were substandard. Looking at the failed joint the grease had completely dried - very odd considering the rubber was fine (I've actually kept the rubber as a spare).

Oh, and in case you're worried, I cut the nut off because the thread had rusted. It hadn't snapped...

This time I've gone for Fahren units - cheaper & shinier - so we'll see how they go.

Why not invest in some copper grease when assembling threads on such as droplinks as in the long term can save you blood sweat and tears when it comes to removal

Wise words :¬)
The new ones don't even have hex's set into the ends so definitely need to be kept clean. Having said that it didnt take long to whizz off with a dremel.

I am afraid Delphi parts are /have become a joke. I now would never buy anything made by Delphi.

Default What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today?

Put a little work into SLZ today. Actually, helped seamy with the work.🤭.
Mtec discs all round, with mintex pads. (Thanks colin Robson).
Got the spring protectors fitted (thanks Simon)
Removed the naff front mudflaps that were all twisted.
Changed the brake fluid ....it was red 😳😱.
What the heck?
Has anyone sees red brake fluid before?

Front LHS abs sensor wire had worn through on Dad’s car, so I took it the sensor off.
It was jammed/corroded in, so full right hand lock - for access.
It broke, so I tried screwing a self tapper in and pulling on that but had to resort to drilling it out.
New one on order from @DMGRS.

Default Annual Service Items.

I gathered together all the filters for an annual oil service just before the MOT is due in the next week or so, hopefully one of the days this week i can get round to changing out all the filters, change out the manifold EGR, Map sensor, get under and check the brake pipes and boots etc.
