Default New Road Side Litter

When out for my walk today - carefully sticking to Government guidelines - I noticed a new phenomena in road side litter.

Discarded face masks and neoprene style gloves, it seemed that every time I looked down at the pavement there was one or the other.

What is it with people, can they not put them in a plastic bag and take them home to dispose of them !

No, they only wear them to protect themselves, not interested in protecting others and that's why you see them dumped to spread the disease.

I have learned, from experience, that to expect thinking, logic and care from people, is largely a waste of time!
Far better to expect nothing intelligent, and then get the odd pleasant surprise from time to time.

Collected, using a long handled grabber, 4 masks discarded over my garden wall this morning. If I had seen it happen there would have been a bigger queue at A&E.

Sadly, along with the fact that the tips are shut, dumping of many larger items will make this seem rather insignificant.

While we were out, I commented on how my h rubbish there was on the roadside, I would say we saw 80% McDonald’s wrappers at the side of the B roads.

For some reason the main road past our house has at least four 1l gin bottles at the side of e road???

I’ve noticed an increase in roadside litter. Apart from Council cut backs, there’s simply no deterrent these days for those who dump litter.

Perhaps those who are fit and on benefits could be given a set area to keep clear of litter.
I know I would have been glad to do this to get something but after working for 40 years and finding myself out of work, for over two years I didn’t receive a penny of help.
