Just doesn't want to shift. I'm trying to get the strut out but all the bolts are fighting me!

Are we talking drive shaft nut?
Electric impact wrench. I bought one just for those nuts, they are 350nm when done up, that is pretty tight Have you the wheel off the ground and find the drive shaft turning? I assume you have unstaked it. A good fitting ring spanner with you standing on the other end may undo them If drive shaft is turning put the car back on the ground and try again. If it is the pinch bolt at the bottom of the strut, plus gas, more plus gas and brute force. good luck macafee2 |

Well I have a 400nm rattle gun and it doesn't want to know!
I've braced the hub using the wheel bolts and other tools so it's not rotating, but I'm bending the bracing now with the force. A little heat???

What a day, wasn't expecting such a fight! Anyway, I've called it a day as my rattle gun just gave up and I've broken my torque wrench. It's time to start fiddling with something I can't break now, I think someone is trying to tell me something. This will wait for another day.
Thanks for your help! Jay

I borrowed one from a neighbour that is about 400 and it struggled with the nuts.
If your car is driveable, I know its a long round trip but I have one of these we could try to undo them with, you can them do them up for the drive home https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clar...impact-wrench/ The hub nuts are what I bought it for so a good test macafee2 |

Had the same problem with my mates mark 2 . He tried everything he had including his heavy duty 1/2 inch drive power bar which snapped off at the end. His trusty torque wrench also snapped at the end. I got a loan of a 3/4 drive bar which removed it with relative ease.
