My physio told me to "work through the pain"! I found it better to work through a bottle of scotch!

I know from past experience that Physios are sadists!

I'm trying to keep mobile and I can, up to a point, then I HAVE to sit down and let the pain reduce. Its morphed into varying levels of sciatic pain in my right hip depending on what or how much I do, its eye watering when it really lets rip.

Ging asked if I can make a cauldron of carrot soup for her. I'm doing it (slowly) in instalments, just been gathering what I need. I'm setting up at the lounge table as standing peeling, chopping the carrots etc is a no no.

Update: I never thought peeling and chopping carrots could be so bleedin' painful! Working at the table seemed like a good idea but the hard chair isn't compatible with an injured lower back and hip. Having another break before finishing then got to try to stand at the cooker for a while

Sky mobile service was down last night, thought it was fixed but still a little patchy today it would seem. Apparently the problem is widespread and there is a big thread on its community forum about it. I made my first and only post on it and thought no more about it until today when I checked my emails and, WAH! Blimming Sky had spammed it as far as my eyes could see with what must have been 2-3 hundred posts from its community thread. Took me ages to clear my inbox and then went into my Sky account and unticked every single box. I'll delete the whole account if necessary which wouldn't be necessary if outfits would only pay more attention to recruiting able IT people.

The cauldron of soup is finally on, most painful cooking experience I've ever had!

Pizza & chips for tea tonight. I started to plant some of the tomato seedlings into their big pots in the greenhouse as they were big enough now.

Been a lovely day in this part of the world.

23c with hazy sunshine and a moderate breeze.

Todays photoshoot for Car&Classic was this easy 80's LandRover

I lusted after a Land Rover when I was young, then hired one from a friend to take a fridge to my sister in Manchester. It was a SWB diesel and after being shaken half to death for a day, decided that I should stick with a 3500S! Horses for courses! We did the Land Rover Experience a while back and that was great but I couldn't live with one every day! Great pics as always Jeff.

Morning all, It's a grey drizzly morning here, I hope the sun comes out later today like it has been doing.

Great pic of the Land Rover Jeff, I agree about their industrial ride comfort, I went with my mate many moons ago (1980's) to a Land Rover breakers up around Lancaster to strip some parts & I had to check my teeth to see if the filings were still there when we arrived
That was the last time I rode in one.
