Cheaper, better photos..........not new but will probably out last the Roewe one.
Exactly! And the perfect match leather paint/dye is easy to come by for cosmetic work if necessary.

I would agree with the comments above - the SAIC wheels are rubbish, and not a good colour match at all.. that goes for the wood and leather.. so - not worth buying in my opinion..

If you want a wooden steering wheel buy an original Rover one..

As others have said, the Roewe ones are just awful. I had 2 sent to me on the promise of them being top notch quality. The 'wood' I think is plastic - if you squeeze as hard as you can you can feel it moving and the 'leather' is so thin its like paper. Also the colour of the leather was completely different and the 'wood' was also way too light. After the 2nd one I gave up.

Enough said really.

I must say I bought a clutch master from that guy on eBay. Tazo. Communication was excellent and it arrived in 24 hours.

Well at last I have an original brand new walnut/sandstone steering wheel, it's taken me over a year to get one.

After the 2 awful chinese saic I had sent to me (not an ebay seller), it's amazing to have the real McCoy in my hands as it is SO much better, thicker leather, dark walnut and correct leather colour. Very happy now!

The supply chain in China is riddled with fakes, I drive my Roewe 750e daily in Shanghai and only get parts and service from SAIC dealer and have not had any issues. I see the ebay seller is located in UK, so unless this seller really knows where their goods are coming from they could be getting ripped off by someone in China selling them fakes. Hope this helps shed some light on this topic.

I would like to add however that the cruise control and audio control switches on my steering wheel are original and have a very clunky feel to them. I was told that my car was one of the early 750s built and was assembled from parts from UK, which parts..........hard to say ??

Thanks Stubie - we shouldn’t get excited so much about just a steering wheel, but it really makes a massive difference (to me anyway). So I’m just glad that you put it on eBay and not here as I would have missed it probably!

If you come across any mint gear knobs let me know! Thanks again.

Prc Roewe - maybe I didn’t have genuine ones by the sound of it - who knows? Interesting though. One thing I did notice though was the curvature of the wood. On the genuine ones the wood isn’t actually round and has a slight flatness to it (we all know that), but on the 2 previously sent to me they were exactly round - which amongst other obvious things gave it away straight away.

KEV-I just had to check my wheel for roundness after your comment! I found that it was flat on the top and bottom, again not sure if it was one of the left overs from Longbridge or if it is an SAIC wheel.
