Replaced the drivers side droplink (MOT failure) with one from DMGRS. The original was bone dry at the top. Had a little red cable tie around the rubber so I wonder if someone had previously tried to pump grease into it?

66k on the car so assume it was still the factory original. Have to say I didn't expect it to be such a pain to get the top nut off. Methinks I need to buy a proper tool for next time. And yes, I did buy a pair so will fit the n/s one once properly tooled up

Fitted a pair of rear shockers to the ZT, contemplated my navel, and after walking the dog, washing the dishes, and tidying up, drank coffee.

I'm fairly uncertain as to how much longer I will own a ZT or 75, as I prefer to drive a car than lie underneath it these days

Default re your car

Please don't say that MarinaBrian, you of all people can never be without one, look how mine goes so much better since you remapped it and it hasnt used a drop of oil/water since I bought it and it is so beautiful, would be unthinkable to be without a Rover. They are simply wonderful cars. An awful lot more reliable than the Range Rover and they were both the same year.

Jennie, one is ok, two hmm, three no, four???? really no !!

I think it's time for a "life laundry", my subscription has come to an end.

On the plus side I now have a spiffing "holdall" in Rover colours, and somewhere to keep my loose change

Hi Stan.
Grind down a couple of 17m & 15m ring/open end spanners, undo the top nut just enough to get a good hacksaw in and its off within a few minutes,

Seems as though your car Dave was really loved.........not. Hope you don’t have to spend much more on it or you will need to win the lottery.
