I have a Teddy bear which sits in the seat back pocket of my car - I'm not entirely sure why I have it, but as soon as I got my first car he rode by the A pillar. When I got my rover, he moved with it. He didn't have a name for months, until a family I was giving a lift to named him. They named him the Pakistani word for bear, but I've forgotten what that is. If I ever have to get rid of the rover, which hopefully I'll never have to, he'll live in the next car I have.

I opted out at the invite to go and see how they were doing but I'll contact them on Monday and pop down and get some pictures.

Good morning Bob, I had a question on YouTube last evening, a short video I made about FLYING BANANA several years ago https://youtu.be/KljxN166gs8 The viewer asked if your car won MG’s in the park?

Yes Banana has had that privilege, still have our trophy along with all the others she has won. Hoping to take her back this year to the event.

Cool Getting painted this week.

I had agreed to pay for the work as we went along, that way the final amount would not be such a hefty shock for me at the end.

So today I have received the bill for the next instalment. She is now ready to go into the paint shop.

The work carried out so far is;

Work carried out to MG ZT 05/03/2019 To 29/03/2019
Carry out stripdown of vehicle including:
Bumpers, mirror covers, near side and off side mouldings, rear spoiler
badges, door handles, roof mouldings, door cappings, lights from
front bumper and grilles.
Remove 4 arch liners and seized wheel nuts - rusted in screws.
Mark out dents, sand down and carry out filler repairs to required areas.
Carry out filler work to bootlid and sand down bonnet.
Apply Fertan rust treatment to bonnet, bootlid and rear of roof area.
Complete filler repairs and sand down repaired areas.
Prep complete body for primer.
Mask up complete vehicle for primer.

TOTAL LABOUR 53.25 HOURS

Remove front screen and rear screen mouldings, trims and clips. (Fixed cost)

So tomorrow I’ll pop along to the garage and get my credit card out and pay this instalment. I have already put a deposit down.
Will take a camera and have a look at the progress.

Sounds much like what was done to OVP, and you know how good she looked as a result . It'll be like getting a brand new car on collection day - very exciting. I'm expecting to notice an extra yellow glow in the sky the day she comes out of paint - can't wait to see her .

I appreciate the final bill won't be small, and will no doubt outstrip Bananas "market" value, but sometimes things are worth far more than their monetary value, and this is most definitely one. Well done on commissioning the work bob, it'll be worth every penny spent .
