Heat wave-note.
With the increase in temperature (yippee)! and maybe increase in use of A/C, your A/C maybe seemingly working ok but my recent experience was that the A/C condenser was as rotten as a pear! bottom 4/5 gills fallen away! although the A/C was working. Now with a new bit its Eskimo Nell time. Chris S.

Tell you something else... use of the aircon has never affected my fuel consumption till now. Over the last week (a week of good weather is all we get - if we're lucky - in NI) my fuel consumption has increased by 2-3mpg.
And the girlfriend's Aygo is struggling to get up hills

A few years ago, 2011 actually, when I was without a reliable motor, I borrowed m my mother's Chevrolet Matiz to go up country for a wedding. All 800cc of Chevrolet muscle.....
That was a warm summer too, and when I put the air con on, there was a noticeable decrease in speed! |

Same when we went to Corfu back in 2009. I think it was a Peugeot 107... with two adults and two kids in the car, it could just about manage a crawl up the hills if the AC was on, so we learned to do that too.

I was unfortunate enough to have driven a Hyundai i10 0.9 litre for a week after my ZS was written off. Had to take my daughter and a friend to guide camp in it. So while 50+ to the gallon was easily achievable round town, point it at a hill and it was like the fuel tank just emptied because it had a hole in it. Desperately needed the air con on that day, but tried it and the car almost stopped. God awful thing to drive but surprising the amount of camping kit you could get into it if you tried.
