ztt 190 gear selection
Just purchased 190 tt drove from Wakefield to Devon and a week locally ,no problem but today going into Exeter gear selection troubles ended up with 3rd and 4th gears only, very awkward during the middle of the day to get home in traffic. The lever seems to have correct gear positions but what ever position lever is in only 3rd & 4th available. anybody any thoughts before I get spanners out:

ztt gear selection
Hi Trikey
Just looked under bonnet and found what looks like rubber insert of cable end fitting as pulled out. Not looking forward to getting under car at present. To old to cold. WallyH |

You might need one of these, far easier than changing a gear cable.

gear selection
Thanks Trikey, sorry for delay ,funny enough was looking at using a couple of washers clamped together, stuck it back in with Araldite which is working quite well at present,
I think i"ll get one of those clamps anyway ( think I might get two just in case).odd that Tf as detachable end fittings on it"s cables WallyH |
