Default My old ZT turned up on Flickr

While doing a bit of Googling earlier, I started putting my old and current car reg numbers in out of curiosity.

Low and behold my previous ZT turned up!

According to the MoT history check, it's last MoT expired on my birthday in 2019...no advisories on last couple of tests.

That was a great car - only let down by the booming exhaust that gave me headaches on each trip...

Default

I've just put my old car into the MOT search and............................ in October 2020................

Repair immediately (major defects):

  • Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint dust cover no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (5.3.4 (b) (ii))
  • Brake lever has insufficient reserve travel (1.1.2 (a))
  • Exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits (8.2.1.2 (b))
  • Exhaust carbon monoxide content at idle exceeds manufacturer's specified limits (8.2.1.2 (b))
Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):

  • Rear handbrake only just met min requirements
  • Coolant leak ()
  • Nearside Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
  • Offside Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
  • Nearside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
  • Offside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
  • Front both anti roll bar bushes slight play
  • Central Front Lower engine mounting to subframe deteriorated "bush"
  • Front exhaust clamp deteriorated
  • Rear exhaust clamp deteriorated
It never even had an advisory in my ownership! I fear it may be gone! Shame really as it was a Connie with all the toys and leather and was in perfect nick when I sold it!

My current 75 is six years older and still going strong and also has never had an advisory in my ownership!
