The gold one has been suffering a bit of engine vibration of late, I think I found the culprit.
Removed it and then was greeted with a very rusty carrier, cleaned it up, a dose of kurust then a spray with smooth silver hammerite (Surprised the aerosol worked as I’ve had it for about 10 years!) All refitted and hopefully less engine vibration when I take it to work on Monday. I can’t moan as it’s been ok for 250k

Not sure if you are aware of this, but a bit of red neck engineering and you can crudely refill those aerosols lol (it is a bit too much effort for me, but I really really hate losing products because of leakage). Video guide HERE - obviously it is dangerous lol, but it may get you out of a hole and save a little time..

I have a can of penetrating oil that really works (I mean really works lol), that is heading that way, which made me look into it. There are videos on how to make a refillable one too, imagine, your own ATF/Acetone mix in an aerosol?

I used plus gas for the first time in years a few weeks ago, I had forgotten how good it is, I have been using WD40 or GT85.

The company was dissolved (pun?) in 2010, so it is unlikely I will be able to find it easily, I still havent plucked the nerve to splash out on THIS one. I have had that 500ml for at least 15 years, and dear knows how old it was before it came into my possession. I had forgotten about Kaiser's recommendation in the past.

With the aid of lots of heat the neighbours lower shocker bolt is out! That’s as far as I got as I’d already serviced a hybrid, repaired a sliding door, changed a timing chain and tensioner on another branded car..... the spring can wait another day
