Badge received this morning - looks good to me. Thanks Richard.
Be nice if it'd stop raining for a while so I could get out there with it.
But first, one (probably very daft) question:

The location for the new badge is currently plain metal with a raised imprint of the badge.

Is this actually the colourless remnant of the old badge which needs to be removed (if so how is it attached - stuck?)
Or has my old badge simply gone 'awol' and the new badge needs to be stuck on top of the raised metal outline?

As you suspect - it's the remnant of the old badge and needs to come off. It's glued on so will need meths or lighter fuel to dissolve the adhesive.

Beat me to it.

The metal part of the badge that is left can be a pain to remove as the glue that was originally used is strong.

Yes, do both the Mk.1 Viking Ship and the Mk.2 simplified viking ship for the Tourers (Don't do the 'black 75' though).
