A very peaceful and reflective Remembrance Sunday on the boat this morning.

Managed to get the ivy on the garden wall and the holly bush trimmed bar the very top. Thought I’d better at least make the effort before Ging comes home and before Storm Debi arrives.

On the subject of Storm Debi, I hope it has bugrd off before I have to go down to Manchester Airport on Wednesday, I still have nightmares about the eleven hour journey getting home from Manchester during Storm Babet when Ging was flying out.

I bet there's a bit of a temperature difference when she gets back to blighty.

Bleddy storms & rain I'm sick of em, It's rained all day again here & the water is just over the garage concrete base again I still haven't cleaned up in there since storm Ciaran Mind you everything vulnerable is wrapped in bin liners & off the floor.

Lovely piece of hack in a garlic, seaweed & butter sauce with some mash & minted peas for tea It was absolutely bootiful , Feet up with the heating on & a bottle of apple juice catching up on some YT vids. Missus is in bed full of a cold

She'll look better after getting a good clean. Just too cold to get the pressure washer on her at the moment

I'm taking a warm coat down with me. Remember when she first came over. I met her at Heathrow with a warm, long wool coat, "no, I'm ok". Hung around Heathrow until the flight up to Edinburgh. Picked up the bags etc, walked to the doors, automatic doors opened onto a cold Scottish November evening . . . . "GIVE ME THE COAT!"

Its peeing down here now.

Hope you all had a good remembrance day, stood in the rain for two minutes to pay my respects in between welding new steel into the topper.

I spent more time waiting for the rain to stop than I did actually welding.

Met up with Chris (75er) from the South Coast who had driven to me so T4 could diagnose an abs issue.

Claire and the kids have headed to Bristol airport to fly to Scotland for a funeral tomorrow, now having a pint while I wait for the washing machine to finish...

Yes indeed.

He always looked so smart in his uniform on parade.

Morning all, Storm Debi has been making her presence felt with strong winds & heavy rain, The rain has been battering the bedroom windows since around 05:00 & the driveway is already under water. Amber warnings out for high winds later today.
