hi can someone tell me how to reset the trip for the oil change mileage thanks

Dirty diesel, never. Check again, 1.8

I did a reset on a diesel with it a few years ago, so it does work

certainly worked on my '02 diesel...Just use the testbook or toaf now though.

These resetters simply use a timer to short Pin 8 to earth for the appropriate period. There's no OBD protocol involved, so whether it's diesel or petrol, whatever year, these gizmos will reset the service reminder.
