Oh happy new car & MoT day
Hi all,
I'm now the happy owner of the car in this thread: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=308155 BRG 75 Conny SE tourer with personal line deep sea green interior. 75500 miles, one owner from new. Been parked up near some trees since the start of lockdown so in need of some serious TLC. Plenums clean and dry . Started first flick of the key. Runs at between 84 and 88 degrees and even the mirror switch pack works . Just been MoT'd and has passed with a single advisory - Reg plate deteriorated but not likely to be misread. Sing along now.... Oh, happy day (Oh, happy day) Oh, happy day (Oh, happy day)...... A few bits and bobs to do such a a handbrake compensator, probably vitons etc. and a new IPK from Rick-sta but drives really nicely. Photos soon when she's nice and clean. Nice one Andy, nice low miles, I have to admit I'm quite envious of you. You'll soon have it looking nice and I look forward to seeing it and the photos.
See you at the next social night if it's on! Martyn |

Cheers Martyn.
Yes, fingers crossed we'll be able to be socially distanced but sociable in the last week of October. Take care. Andy. |

HI Andy.
Hopefully it will be a good car for you give it a good service manifold clean etc, it may have been sitting on my drive if i had let my heart rule my head when did David let you know it was ready to view. Are you going to keep the both ? i think you tried that before and Chris ended up with one of yours which he seems to like very much, get those photo up all the best Arctic.

Hi Andy. Glad you are happy with it, and I did not expect it to fail on anything bad anyway, but one advisory is good. Will have to see if I can get over to the next social at FA if you go with it. By the way is the FA still open?

Hi Steve.. I went and checked it over last Thursday week ago. Spent around 2 hours going over it taking plenum covers off, no water just cobwebs and leaves suspended in the cobwebs. Battery was flat so took mine off and fitted it. Turned key and started straight away. Ran it till it got warm checking it on obd for temp.oil quite clean. New diesel filter. Good tyres.Although not flat, two wanted some air in them. Full size spare wheel with brand new tyre(Goodyear) Wanted a good vacuuming but not grungy. No water ingress. Andy sent me an email asking about it so gave him all the info. If I had not already got two myself, I would have had it..

Hi Arctic,
Yes, fingers crossed that she'll be a good 'un. Aiming to do the PCV tomorrow and starting to work through some of the "little" things like putting sponge over the plenum drain holes, turning the bonnet cable release block over and wrapping the air con pipe where it rubs on the bonnet sound deadening. And, of course, a really good clean. Did the headlights before she went for the MoT . I'm not sure what will happen with my Wedgewood Blue one. Maybe it'll all come together and I'll keep her, maybe she'll have to go. . Take care mate. Andy |
