Former press car so I’m told...

I’ve only owned the car for 4 months. It was bought as a project daily car and gosh has it had some work done since I’ve owned it.
In the 4 months I’ve owned the car, it’s had the following with receipts to back it up as it was sadly neglected in the past.

- New battery
- Front and rear tyres sealed due to air leak
- New MOT
- Genuine MG thermostat kit fitted with new seals
- Uprated VIS motors fitted from club member Stocktake (these will never go again)
- Rear passenger side caliper replaced
- Full service:
- Genuine MG Oil and oil filter change
- Coolant changed and system flush
- Genuine MG Pollen filter fitted
- Genuine MG Air filter fitted
- Genuine MG spark plugs fitted
- Auto Gearbox fluid flush and changed
- Sunroof drains unblocked and modified
- Passenger side impact sensor replaced
- Under seat air bag connection repaired
- Fuel gauge fixed
- Drivers side door actuator repaired
- Genuine new MG front spring protectors fitted
- Genuine MG Shannon tube fitted
- T4 health check completed
- Plenums unblocked and cleaned out
- New TRW front brake discs and pads fitted
- Carpet partially removed to clear out water
- Genuine MG fuel filter housing seal fitted

All this work has been carried out over the last 8 weeks or so with no expense spared. I’ve spent £1200 on this car on parts and labour plus recovery to get this car where it is now.

I have receipts for all the work carried out.
Most of the work was carried out by club member, ‘BigRuss’ who’s an expert on these cars and the work is second to none.

I paid £230 to get this car taken down on recovery truck to Russ from Scotland to get the work done. That’s how much I trust him and I will be sending him my other car shortly to get some work carried out.

When I got this car, it was in a very bad way and needed some serious maintenance carried out to put it right. Genuine MG parts were used from Rimmer brothers and DMGRS.

The car now drives lovely but it’s not for me and with me buying another car recently, I need to let one go.
The car is in good condition body wise but could do with a detail to get the best out of the paintwork. The flip on the car however is quite something. Lots of green flip when the sun is shining. It’s a head turner wherever it goes with endless comments from the public.

The bad parts of the car is the roof. At some point in the past, someone appears to have attempted a respray and not done a very good job. The roof has lost its flip and has blisters in the paint so ideally it needs resprayed professionally. Front bumper has a few paint chips in it but nothing major as well as some of the plastic trim around the car.
It could do with some new tyres in the near future but they’re ok for now.
Rear parking sensors don’t work. I think it’s needs the parking sensor ECU replaced within the bumper.

I also have a spare front and rear typhoon bumper available for sale should buyer wish to purchase these as spares as well as a typhoon painted steering wheel.

Price - £1,850.

The price displayed is fixed as I think it’s a bargain for what it is considering all the work it’s had recently to put it right. This car now will serve you well for years to come.

Car is based in Fife, Scotland.

Serious enquiries only by PM or phone.

Many thanks

Ravinder.
