Have to agree with you there. Wouldn't preparing the surface with an alcohol wipe or IPA to remove any contamination be enough?

Clean the surface with a little white spirit, warm glue with a hair dryer, gently dont melt the trim and job done.

As side seat panels are only seen briefly when you open the door
decided to have a go at making hy own.
First made carboard template out side shape first then gradually cut out switch holes to allow for there movement.

then transfered to oak veneer or any thin plywood etc.

then stained to colour and applied many coats of varnish to get deep effect.
Next because my seats are beige masked a square around switches and hand painted matt black,so when you fit wood you don't a beige circle around them.

Fixed to seat sides with silocon glue.

Hi, As a new owner of the 75 i am interested in getting a few extra walnut additions, probably the electric window surrounds first, is the guy mentioned in the first post the best place to get them and can anyone give an idea of price for individual items? Dont really want to buy a whole kit...also how are they secured to the car?

They are self adhesive, very easy and secure fit

Finally got round to doing this today, and used this method - thanks for the tip!
