Default for goodness sakes

been waiting 4 weeks for part of a spring compressor set to turn up and it has not.
Went out to the garage a few minutes ago to measure my Draper spring compressors that I thought were too short. Was going to order longer ones.
Don't know why but I tried to remove the spring on the strut and hey presto off it came with ease. I think I know what I did wrong last time, I did not put the compressor onto the bottom coil/ strut base and then I released the spring compressors and allowed the spring to fully extend.
This time, having taken the nut off safely, I have only released most of the spring compression but not all of it. The compressors are still attached. This will allow me to "easily" recompress the spring to refit everything. The plate at the top that holds that bearing is a bit rusty, so tomorrow I hope to clean it up and paint it.

4 insert naughty word, weeks wasted

man that makes no mistakes, make nothing.

Anyway, tomorrow I can move forward
