Anyone interested in this?
One of my elderly customers has recently given up driving, and knowing I was a Rover enthusiast asked me if I know anyone who might like her old car. Its a 95 M plate 216 sli auto in Zircon silver she and her late husband bought it brand new and have owned it ever since. All work done at local main dealer and after the demise of Rover, one of the mechanics from the dealership set up on his own and continued doing the work. It has only done 70k since new, it needs front wings but not sure what the rest of body is like as I haven't looked closely at it for a while. Tax and test expired in Feb, but it was still in use up until a few months back. Its garaged so out of the elements, not worth very much but any good to someone for spares or a spare runner? Pm me if you're interested.

An update on this, I went today and had a closer in depth look at the car, and took some photos on behalf of another member.
The nsr arch has a bit of surface rust on it, and a crack on the os corner of rear bumper, but other than that for a 25 year old car it is pretty good.It has the electric tilt and slide sunroof which works fine, documented service history with invoices, previous MOTs, although the current tax and test ran out in Feb. The engine runs sweet as, and nice and quiet, no sign of oil leaks, starts straight away. A rare example 1 owner car with low miles and fsh. EDIT. Initial enquirer has dropped out due to travel cost, so if anyone's interested and wants photos sent, pm me an email address. Car is located in south Northumberland, and is about 20 minutes drive from me.

No, she's a widow and lives alone, I don't want her being bombarded with tyre kickers and idiots. It would have to go tbrough me anyway as she doesn't have a computer. People from here generally don't fit in to the above categories.

He doesn't want it because it has the Honda engine and needs bodywork.

I’ve looked at train fares and fuel to drive back and it’s over £200.
Cheapest train fare was half price at £78 but it got me there at 11.10pm! Geography and logistics sometimes get in the way.
