Help removing stylus from record player

I have an old Pioneer PL-x99 record player.
The stylus is a squeeze and pull type to remove it but not for love or money can I remove it.

I want to take the whole arm off to get better access but I have no idea how to and a Google search has drawn a blank.

If I post a picture can anyone help me please?

No worries, it is not much of a squeeze, more just a pull and I was squeezing too much.

The needle in knackered.
