Default It's not just the Internet!

Just back from my local market town, which encourages the High Street by not charging for parking - even in its Multi-Storey. The place was buzzing, even on a Tuesday morning. However, I spent over 20 minutes in Barclays waiting to access my cash to pay for yet another 75 I won on Ebay , 10 minutes to buy a Birthday Card in Smiths, and the queues in Wilkinsons were so long the birds will have to go hungry! If shops want to fight the Internet, they need more staff, who, whilst adding to cost, are usually cheap to hire, so why can't they see it?

The law says if any shop has six or more checkouts then only two may operate at any one time, this is to allow staff members to stand around and talk to each other or to rearrange stock on the shelves to make it look nice.
