Oh, yes - you were the one who first noticed what was happening with the compensator. I do think you at the very least deserve a complementary modified one, as a thank you

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

James was one of the first members to have a modified compensator sent out by me as he as informed me he is only now going to fit it after 12 months and 6k after fiting an OEM compensator to see how much is original OEM one as stretched. my bets on on 8mm and thank you James for contacting me via PM Arctic.

OK - At least that will prove that it is a waste of time fitting a new unmodified compensator.

Hello Artic, how do I get one of these to NZ? I just had a warrant of fitness check (similar to your MOT except every 6 months) All OK except the tester noted handbrake required adjustment. Our son who lives in Surrey is coming back to NZ for Christmas, leaves UK on the 22nd Dec.

Hi Arctic, are you still doing the modified handbrake compensators? I think I may need one as my handbrake comes right up, almost to my left ear! i Is it an easy job to fit? I have printed off your `How To` and it doesn`t look too bad.

Regards, John

Ooh how many times have I heard that question!!!
Is something easy to fit?
Well generally it's like most things .........first time might take 3 hrs.
2nd time might take 30 mins

Also it depends on your aptitude!
So really it's a case of how long is a piece of string?
But good luck !!
