Default This V6 isn't powered by BMW

As above its not a BMW engine, but a Honda one.....

I'm probably wrong but thought the Honda engines were the original 825 and 827 before Rover's KV6 own engine ?

Yes, the 75 V6 is Rover's own KV6, either 2.0 or 2.5.

I now remember the strange thing that a Rover engine actually replaced a larger Honda engine (2.7) with the 2.5 KV6 on the Rover 800 series. Quite a talking point at that time !

Yep, even down to making their own castings--let alone design and assembly.

Default Rover Engines

I have a Rover 75 2001 connoisseur {Moon Rock Green} V6 motor Timing belts to be done shortly the Mechanic assures me he knows all about how to do it and doesn't need to see the motor. Now every other mechanic I have talked to seems to have skid marks on his undies after the conversation and turns away, The Question, What motor is in a 2001 rover 75 Connoisseur V6 Imported to Australia where I'm. This car is in Perfect condition no scratches on duco Pressure cleaned under body all nuts bolts screws replaced with originals as factory. All I need now is some A hole to come along and stuff it up { and yes due to this club I'm fast becoming a genius }

Beazo

The Rover 75 so far as I know has never been fitted with anything other than the Rover KV6, 2.0 or 2.5 ltr (V6) or 1.8 ltr (4 cyl.)
The diesel variant has a BMW four cylinder.
No Honda motor ever fitted in the production 75.
Cheers

Kind of irrelevant, but why wasn't the T Series engine used in the 75 / ZT instead of the K Series?
