Default hand brake compensator

Has anyone heard of a hand brake compensater on the Rover 75? . I wanted my handbrake adjusting after new hand brake shoes and discs and pads on the rear on my tourer. However one little niggle has come up. when we adjust the handbrake ( all new parts) to say three notches for park brake/hand brake after use few miles the handbrake goes back to several notches high, even though the kit is all new.
including new back plates and ABS unit, as i want to keep the car, I have been told theres a handbrake compensator? never heard of it, can anyone shed some light please HELP? AND IF TRUE where is the compensator?

Well it would have been churlish not to do it while I was in there

This was a one I modified some time ago for my own car, however I had replaced it with a Mini version before the last MOT.

I hadn't hoyed it in the bin, so in to Mick's tourer it went

Much better not to need a power bulge in the roof

Yes it was fairly grim Steve, however I have all of the replacement door cards fitted now, and I've repaired the centre belt in the replacement rear seat.

So tomorrow's jobs weather permitting are to change the rear seat over, clean the door cards, and replace the frankly rubbish IPK for something better.......apart from being badly lined, it also suffers from the very annoying PPP.P firmware glitch.

I hope Mick likes it after all of this work

As to the other, keep me informed

Brian
