I wouldn't venture to wonder Phil ... some good but some not worth the effort of thought once caught. As for those who might be in the club, well that is a condition of choice for too many of the wrong beggars.

As for that Vera ... hmmm? Some in our family thought that Catherine Cookson was the bees knees but to me many of the local accents in the tv serializations of her books seemed a bit fake and overdone to me.

I used to live a couple of miles from there in the early 90's, very entertaining watching the car chases around the neighbourhood!

Agree with you there Steve, along with what they say. Auf Weidershein pet was a fine example. We don't call everybody "pet" here on Tyneside, and I doubt they do on Wearsife too. Tell you who gets up my nose with her over exaggerated Geordie accent, Cheryl who was in Girls Aloud.

The early episodes of Auf Wiedersehen were popular with many who identified with the various accents and characters. In the end I think that it was overrun in the same way as Only Fools And Horses and Last Of The Summer Wine. Some if not a lot of the original magic was lost in attempts to revive interest in them after their time had passed.

Good morning all, hello and welcome What’s the news, what’s happening? Tomorrow we are driving up north to visit a friend at her ranch for a break. Today I will be filling up in preparation as from midnight, the price for fuel is going up a shilling for petrol and 2 shillings for diesel. I check the tyre pressures for the 4x4 etc etc at the same time.

Good morning Richard, how are you? If I was single and if Cheryl liked older guys, I’d be asking her to check me out for the X-factor. I wonder what constitutes a Geordie, is it where you live or is it the accent? I am originally from Devizes In Wiltshire and my accent is that of the West Country, so instead of saying yes to Cheryl, I’d say Arrr!

Morning Phil,

Safe journey for tomorrow both of you.

Today I'll be up in Norfolk for work then day off tomorrow.
I'll be taking Lady Emma out tomorrow for a speed run and shakedown test after the service and turbo replacement.
This was meant to have happened a couple of weeks back but the weather and me having a cold scuppered that

It does look like that another turbo replacement for the other engine is likely as well, will find out for sure tomorrow.

Will no doubt do a few videos of the run and post them up

Cool

Morning everyone.

Finally had a reasonable night. Still not feeling all that bright and now have a cough and runny nose.

Staying in again today.

Bright and sunny without a cloud in the sky.
