I have used penetrating oil but am yet to be convinced it has actually worked.
Some nuts I wont attempt to undo until I've used penetrating oil then when I come to undo them they are still tight but has they been freed by the penetrating oil?

50/50 mix of acetone and ATF, I just mix enough for what I want, its what is used on ships to remove nuts and bolts rusted by seawater.
Like many here the original plusgas we used in the garages was unbeatable, now I think they are all pretty much a generic mix.

I've never heard of acetone and ATF being used on board ship, unless this was some special brew concocted by the donkeyman

I use plusgas, and don't have any problem with it
