I would not really care what anyone's opinion was, I know what im driving and I know how special it is, the majority of people who would slate them are people who come out with the comments of (A car is something to get you from A to B) what a stupid comment and only normally made by someone travelling in a faceless euro box, or waiting at the bus stop, whilst I glide along in my top speck all singing and dancing pile of sexyness..........

I'm with you mate, couldn't give a monkeys what anyone says, I like driving my 75 and that's the end of it. Mind you, I've had nothing but compliments since I got it.

I constantly get compliments on my car, they're as rare as hens teeth over here and most people have no idea what they are

I had my first Connoiseur in January 2000. There wasn't so many around then and it always attracted a crowd every time I parked it in a car park.
Confusion with a Jag - I guess that came about from the S Type being released around the same time and it does have similar classic lines.
From day one I got the "where do you put the pipe and slippers when you drive the car" so almost 10 years on nothing changes!
I've just changed from a 2002 BMW 330i to my 75. Thing is, when you pull in to fill up there's bound to be another 3 series on the forecourt but it's very rare you see another 75 and it does still turn heads and, in my opinion, is one of the finest looking cars ever built.

As my car is an 08 plate I have found that people usually say, thought they don't make them anymore? followed by what a shame that they don't.

couple of comments i get

When people step inside "i feel rich just sitting here"
and
Had people roll down their windows at traffic lights and what kind of car it is, "that looks nice to drive" (Never experienced that EVER in another car)
and
My pest control guy ( you know Oz, spiders, possums etc) never shuts up about it when he see it, he knows Rovers and compares the ride to silk.
and
When i mention its a Rover and they see it say "Oh that must be the new model" because it looks ageless.
and
"Is it new?" No, nearly 9 years Old!
and
"Someone rich has just parked outside"

Very admired because of its European look
