Default KV6 Thermostat housing

So far I have been fortunate, and there is no sign of any leakage near or from the plastic thermostat housing. Quite why Rover/BMW decided plastic was good enough for their flagship car, I have no idea.
I can get a new plastic kit from sellers on ebay or Rimmers, but does anyone know if some clever chap has made one out of metal? If so, can you point me in the right direction?
Many thanks

The Kaiser metal kit is indeed the way to go for ultimate longevity - it's fantastic.

If anyone is after the same parts on a budget, we still have a few left at our Group Buy price of £29.99 including pipework:

Please could you post a link to where these can be bought from? Am seriously tempted having had two plastics go in four years.
