These were lovely cars, I had a Mk1 Granada Ghia in Rallye Green, 3litre V6 auto, beautiful car, 9 miles to the gallon in winter and almost 18 in the summer but fuel was cheap back then, I had a Mk 3 Cortina 2 litre GXL in flame red and also two Mk2 1600E's and a Mk2 1600 GT bored out to 1760cc and tweaked with A2 cam and twin weber 45's, oh boy could that thing go .. couldn't stop it mind but that was half the fun.
Also had a couple of Anglias and a Mk1 Escort Mexico
Old Fords never die .. they just rust away .. I wished I had them now

Always liked them but the closest I got to owning one was the Dinky version.

I pretty much grew up around the MK2 and MK3 Cortina's, my fathers old GXL was meant to be my first car, but I did the silly thing and bought an Opel Manta...
