Default Reaction to your 75

O.K. so I have owned my 75 for just over 2 months now, and never tire of the reaction I get when I tell people what I've bought. They are as follows:

1/ Why did you buy your grandads old car
(I didn't you wally!!)

2/ You know why they call it the 75, because that's all it's worth now £75
(always funny!! but I spent a LOT more than that buying mine)

3/ What are you going to do when it breaks down, you can't get spares anymore now you know, Rover dealers no longer exist
(there is no substitute for ignorance is there?!? my local ROVER dealership is R.C.Hardings in Penzance, and there are loads of spares suppliers)

and my absolute favorite.......

4/ Uh!

This one I understand more, because, yes, every time I drive it it leaves me speechless too, that I could get such a good quality, quiet, smooth, economical car for the price I paid for it (not £75 by the way!!)

Is that the full set, or are there any more comments for me to look forward to (with baited breath!!)

I've had "Is that a jag?" as well. Pretty much everyone I know likes the car and thinks it looks really classy and unique, not a "grandads" car...in fact the only person I've had say its an old persons car is in fact a grandad!

Default Jaguar

Most common reaction over here in Belgium must be : Nice Jaguar you have , my reaction, no I don't drive a FORD, then they are really confused ( I don't bother mention TATA cos 99.9999% don't know TATA).

Don't let you Brits fade away another icon !!!!!!!The peoples aircraft!!!!

My mates always say to me that the reason the car was called the 75 is because its the average age of the drivers!!!!!!
