Really wasn't asking for the obvious lesson on economics, just pointing out that a fairer system would be to pay for the amount you use the roads i.e. on fuel. Obviously no system is fair to everyone but it always seems to me that my 5k miles per annum equates to my neighbours 85k miles per annum and all the white van men's delivery mileages in terms of annual VED.

Obviously enthusiast owned as he knows & uses many of the proper places & knows the correct spec etc. An honest car I would say!!

Seems fairly decent to me as long as the price doesn't creep up too much, easy fixes for the little issues.

Its not that unusual, there's a list by VIN number in the member's section on the 260s Club, quite a few were registered well after they were produced.

With tax exemption rules for classics it is taken from the cars production date, not its first registration date.

Shame its not the same for the V8's, it might drag a few out of the MegaTax bracket!
