You would think so wouldn't you, but 1p on the price of fuel costs several hundred jobs, and puts up every single price in the shops. You don't believe me??? Then ask yourself why inflation has been negative and prices actually dropping for the past few months. |

Really wasn't asking for the obvious lesson on economics, just pointing out that a fairer system would be to pay for the amount you use the roads i.e. on fuel. Obviously no system is fair to everyone but it always seems to me that my 5k miles per annum equates to my neighbours 85k miles per annum and all the white van men's delivery mileages in terms of annual VED.

Its not that unusual, there's a list by VIN number in the member's section on the 260s Club, quite a few were registered well after they were produced.
