3 speed fan needed
I am after a 3 speed radiator fan motor. took mine apart to change the brushes and the entire motor was shot, broken magnets, wires broken on motor winding, the old brush housings destroyed.
So either that, or any mod that would know to fit a 2 speed unit instead. |

I have a diesel and V6 2 speed fans available, these can be fitted in place of 3 speed ones if you use the control box which comes with he fan and the shroud.

Two wire 2 speed fan from a diesel would fit, plug & play if you only purchase the motor and no wiring then you would need to adapt your original control box, petrol would not fit a diesel wiring is totally different, even if you purchase a second hand one open it up and check the brushes, just because it as a silver or gold resistor does not mean the brushes have not worn down

You'd be best off following the instructions Jules supplies with the Revotec. But if your 3 speed system is working, why change it? During the summer listen for the slow speed running when you're using the air conditioning. If you don't hear it, renew a couple of brushes and it will go on and on for years. It's a lot cheaper than buying a Revotec!

I am going to get it looked at, at a specialist in Newcastle when work allows, and will decide then.I know will be looking at a condenser too as fins all crumbling and just dont know which way to go re cooling motor bushes or the Jules fan.The other thing I noticed although not connected is that the intercooler fins are going the same as condenser,so that may need changing that will be an extras expense so will weigh all costs up then as would make sense for me to do all work at same time .
