Default Latest firefox updates

Anyone else having trouble with their firefox browser especially after the latest updates!

Seems they've put new security measures in place i.e. none use of Java, meaning apps run with Java (My Yandex email notifier) wont work now & security connections with Outlook email, cant connect, (works fine on other browsers!).

Not with those specific problems Ian, but mine does seem to be running a fair bit slower, and I do get the occasional "Firefox is not responding" hang. I used to use Chrome but over time it went down a similar route of getting slower. Think I might give Edge a try - it's been on the laptop since I bought it and I don't think I've ever used it.

Yeah It's becoming bloated that's for sure, I have a Win 10 PC and haven't used the Edge browser myself yet, I couldn't get used to all those 'targeted ads'! I don't think it had an Adblocker when it came out, might have changed since so I've only used firefox in it.

I've installed the Chromium browser for the time being & that seems to be running much smoother & quicker than firefox.

Windows 10 Professional.
Last couple of weeks I noticed it were slowing on some web pages, at times so much so I thought I had been compromised. I did all kinds of security checks but nothing came up.
It seems it has settled now and runs OK, it`s one of those situations whereby you start to think "Is it me or is it my ISP or is the site I am on"
Fingers crossed (oops can`t type with em crossed )
Ken.

There is a fake Firefox .js 'urgent update' that I picked up today. This is malware and not from Firefox. See Mozilla Support at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...firefox-update.

Malwarebytes stopped it being installed on my PC.

I gave up Firefox years ago due to the bloat and them screwing up the user interface. Moved to Pale Moon, https://www.palemoon.org/ Never regretted it.

I run Edge Rod,it has been updated recently and their claim to fame is, it is the fastest web browser ever.

Forget Firefox if you have a 64 bit system, you need Waterfox, it is based on the Mozilla platform and is very quick.

If you already have Firefox it will load all of your bookmarks and favourites, nothing will look different except it is Waterfox and not Firefox.

If you don't like it then just uninstall it, what you got to lose?

Get it here.

Features
