Personally I'd clean it once a year and replace it at the 3year/36k service.

Had a chap on the phone yesterday with a 90k ZT--T that was pumping oil out the dipstick tube and had pressurised the crankcase (loud hiss when the oil filler cap was removed) Undoubtedly due to a stuk pcv valve and not the first time I've come across it. (such high crankcase pressure is not good for the various oil seals)

Isn't that a good price for one of those filters? Presumably it's exactly the same one as fitted to our diesels. I cleaned mine and it was still fairly black when I replaced it so renewing it might be an idea.

Also, some scaremongering there too? I certainly wouldn't want my turbo to blow up because my PCV filter was clogged.

Ah, I must be thinking of the whole assembly. I seem to remember roughly £35 being mentioned here at some point.

Thanks Pondweed, I was on the verge of clicking on BIN.

I got mine the other day off eBay, £34.70 delivered, from a Land Rover spares guy. Genuine TD4 item.
