Default Rover 75 deisil crankcase compression

I have oil comming up the dipstick, the car drives fine, starts first time, can anyone tell me how I can cure this and where can I find the pcv valve which I am told may be blocked

yes, do it quick! that cured mined courtesy of a £190 bill for the last owner at mgr dealer...

pcv - search on "oil separat" for the bmw part £13 which is the cheapest (an insert) or get the whole box for about £35.

Its between/behind the central 2 injectors (looking from front of car) - about 5 hex bolts around two black domes

I did this very job a few weeks ago and have just put the answer in the wrong thread!, go to pcv valve in this section and all will be revealed!

thankyou very much for your help, Pondweed and Podge, managed to order the whole unit from bmw (£36) will be here for the weekend, they did not charge me for the postage, I shall let you know how I get on. I appreciate your comments, many many thanks. My local garage wanted £1.000 to do the engine, fingers crossed.

is this the part you mean (photo) and I got the part from BMW £36 for the lot

I have just tried it and it works, its under johnnyallan, I cleaned the old filter and put it back on, still the same, took it off and ran without it, cured in one, new one will be here tomorrow
