I had a good mess around this morning looking for a sunroof leak in the front drivers side. Tube in footwell connected and water draining out ok. Thought no more of it until this afternoon when the heavens opened. A lovely soaked interior from the water pouring from the sun visor and down the A pillar. LOVELY.

Next step it headlining out and check the tubes further up.

So Today I replaced a faulty headlight stalk on my Rover 75 and replaced the standard cd80 Radio with a symphony Radio and 6 CD holder (still not letting me select the cd from the radio, It powers on and runs thru the six CD's)
Also installed a auto dim rear view mirror and replaced the Passenger door mirror...

Well, I have had a *NASTY WORD* of a day working on my 190!

I am trying to sort the thermostat housing leak and the car is fighting back every step of the way. Today I got the fuel rails and rear inlet manifold removed to get at that 1 little bolt that holds the thermostat in place. When trying to remove the banana shaped tubed next to the thermostat it snapped. Not unexpected..... But did it have break just above the opening it slots into in the engine block. *Mother....... Oops.... Rude words!! *

So now I have about 15mm of that pipe stuck in there and nothing to grab hold of to remove it!! I am thinking of carefully cutting out a section of the remaining pipe, very carefully. All other suggestions gratefully received.

Spent this afternoon replacing the auxiliary belt, idler and tensioner on the V6. Belt had lots of little cracks across the ribs and the idler and tensioner bearings were both a little bit noisy when spun so glad i've changed them all.

Had a peek at the front cam belt behind one of the covers while I had access, cam belt looks ok but i'm going to change them and the water pump fairly soon.

Had a quick look at the headlight washer pump while I had wheel arch liner off, headlight washers have never worked since I got the car.
Think pump is NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- but ran out of time to check it properly as needed car back together before it got dark as it's my daily driver

fiddled with a few bits whilst I'm waiting to put the front end back together after air con condenser replacement.

Cleaned and lubricated the bonnet locks, tapped the holes out and cleaned up parts of the chassis that you can't normally get at.

Bought a few bits from Rimmers, a few clips and new blanking plugs for the wiper spindles to replace the badly faded and degraded originals -now need to replace the faded scuttle clips and revive the scuttle panel. Wiper arms could do with a coat of paint now.

I wouldnt know, however, I would check and clean the contacts for the bulbs. And inspect the hi level brake light. (not sure how to, but I would unplug this too, and test the radio again). Since it is so close to the 'aerial' there could be some issue there.

Just thinking out loud, but could it be that your radio antenna-wire is damaged somewhere, and the electric-magnetic field from the wire that power the brake light cause interference with the reception? I know that the same thing happens when I turn on the rear-window heating element.
